I was born in Marion, Indiana in 1952. I have had minimal formal
training in art. I did have two summers of general art at Culver Military Academy and a half semester at Marion College in 1973. I am primarily self-taught
and virtually unknown as an artist in this area as most of
my commissions and sales have been out of state.
My wife, Peggy, and I have six cats.
I enjoy teaching grid-style portraitures.
Using a grid is a simple way to ensure success. These are my
tips for finding success and enjoying your art.
1. Draw what you see, not what you
know.
2. Time doesn’t matter.
3. If you frame it, it becomes art.
4. Art is fun. If it isn’t
fun, stop immediately. |
