For thirteen years, Alison Wright took dance lessons at La Danz' Studio in Marion. While tap has always
been her strength because of a musical background, she also took jazz and ballet lessons. She participated
in many regional and national competitions which took place in Las Vegas, Orlando, Chicago, and Cincinnati.
Alison also performed at several pre-game and half-time Pacers games.
She graduated third in her class with high honors from Mississinewa High School in 1999. While in high school,
she was in the school's show choir, Ole Miss Singers. She was in the school's production of Oklahoma and starred
as Fiona, the female lead, in Brigadoon. She participated in many vocal competitions as well. She was a varsity
cheerleader for two years. Alison also participated in many school activities including Spanish Club, FCA (Fellowship
of Christian Athletes), Student Council, and president of the Honor Society. She participated in many Marion Civic
Theater productions while in school. She was in the chorus of Oliver and Big River, and her senior year, she shared
the role of Luisa, the female lead, in The Fantasticks.
After graduation, Alison attended Indiana University for one and a half years. She then transferred to Ball State
University which she has been attending off and on for several years. Alison has changed her major several times
because she has a passion for many different things in life. She wants to learn and do it all!! She has majored
in elementary education, music education, and also dietetics. Part of the reason she majored in dietetics is because
Alison has had insulin-dependent diabetes for 17 years. She wanted to be able to teach children with diabetes how to
control their disease through their diet. However, after substitute teaching at Eastbrook Community Schools, Alison
has decided that pursuing her degree in elementary education is her true dream.
Alison has been working at Cracker Barrel for nine years and is thrilled to be joining the staff at CSA. She loves
that she has been given the chance to teach something she has always had a passion for and enjoyed. She is excited
that she will be able to work with children as well!
Alison resides in Gas City with her fiance, Steve, and their one-year old son, Gabriel.
