Fred Walton is currently teaching jazz dance at The Dance
Refinery in Greenwood, IN, The Dance Magnetat Broad Ripple High
School in Indianapolis, IN, and The Village Dance in Zionsville,
IN. He has also taught at Indiana University, Bloomington, IN, from
1990 to 2001. While living in California, Fred taught at the Joe
Tremaine Dance Centre in Hollywood, CA, Stanley Holden Dance Centre
and Dance Center West in Lost Angeles, CA. He has also taught at
Stage Seven in San Diego, CA, The Jimmie DeFore Dance Center in
Costa Mesa, CA. Fred had taught master classes along the west coast
from California to Washington, as well as Chicago, Detroit, Dallas,
and Flint, MI. In addition, he has taught for Dance Masters of
America, Dance Educators of America, N.A.D.A.A., Texas Association
of Teachers of Dance, and numerous others.
Fred has taught for such celebrities as Goldie Hawn, Melissa
Manchester, Michael Learned, Christopher Norris, Melissa Gilbert,
and Bonnie Franklin. He has privately coached Olivia Newton-John
and Valerie Harper. Summers are spent teaching dance at the
Chautauqua Institution in western New York. Fred is teaching at
Indiana University again and the Community School of the Arts in
Marion, IN.
