Leah Hoskins discovered her passion for Photography as a child. At age 5 she received her first camera,
by age 13 started entering photos into national competitions, and by age 22 opened her own photography
business. Now, Leah owns a Photography studio in North Marion where she shares her talent and love of
photography with the world. "I enjoy teaching others the skills I have learned over the years. I am honored
when asked by other photographers to teach them what I know and share my talent. These are Photographers
that I have looked up to and have inspired me over the years. But I am even more honored when I have
opportunities to teach the next generation."
You might recognize some of her work on ABC's Extreme Makeover Home in recent episodes as well as on local
and state wide TV commercials. Leah explains, "Photography is a form of art that deserves the time, passion,
and creativity that has inspired the beautiful visions of art we have all witnessed throughout our lifetime.
Every image I capture is ART! I have based my work, teachings and business upon my passion to artistically
capture the emotional meaning and personality behind every photograph."
So, who is Leah Hoskins? (Short answer) "I am just a chick with a camera that shoots from her soul." (Long winded)
"First and foremost a mother and wife! With three beautiful children and one amazing husband, I certainly am one
lucky woman. Second, an artist! Our gorgeous children have opened my eyes to a whole new world of Photography by
helping me understand the importance of capturing that exact moment and expression that defines them as they are.
I set out on this adventure to use my talents to show mothers and brides everywhere that there is hope. You are a
work of art. Every child is a work of art. All of God's creations and blessing are a work of art, so why not display
them AS ART!"
