Born and raised in Grant County, Missy Gunning resides in Upland with husband Mark and children Luke 13, twin daughters, Marissa and Michaela 8, and youngest son Logan 7. 

Starting dance at a very young age to help overcome shyness, Missy has now been involved in dance  for over 30 years.  She enjoys all forms of dance however, her Passion is Ballet.  Missy's teaching career began in high school as an assistant teacher.  After graduation she began a full time career as a dance instructor,  teaching in and around the Grant county area. Missy has taken Ballet students to regional and national dance compositions. 

Along with studying dance  locally Missy has also studied at the Young Ballet Academy, Anderson and the Jordan Academy, Butler University. 

Missy's greatest compliment as a dance teacher came  when a student asked her what she would have been if she hadn't become a dance teacher   She replied, probably a nurse.  Another student then spoke up and said, "I'm glad your not a nurse, because then you wouldn't be my dance teacher."
