At 15, Ki’Leigh has had the opportunity to travel the world for the past 5 years with NEW YORK STAGE ORIGINALS touring show “TAP KIDS”.
The season of 2005 the show performed in over 26 states, Mexico, and Amsterdam for the Queen of the Netherlands at the Theater Carre’.
The summer of 2003 she performed for 10 weeks in “Prodigy, Kids with Unbelievable Talent” a David Saxes Production in Atlantic City NJ. She was featured in “Young Dancers Magazine Jan/Feb issue 2005, and in September of 2005 TK made there first National Television appearance on the Jerry Lewis MD Telethon. She will start her 5th season with TK and will travel many cities in the states, along with a 3 week tour in The Netherlands.
Starting her dance training at LaDanz’ Studio at 3, it wasn’t long and she was competing under the direction of Jamie Douglas Bragg, winning several individual tap scholarships. The past few years she has pushed herself to learn new styles of dance such as Lyrical, Modern, and Hip-Hop. She received the Overall Dance scholarship at Tremaine dance convention for the first time in 2005.
This summer she performed with the Indiana Inferno Hip-Hop squad that performs at every home game for the WNBA Indiana Fever Professional Basketball Team. Her sister Kirston and her are the first sister tandem to work for the Pacer’s/ Fever dance organization.
Studying these past several years with some of the countries best tap teachers with the likes of Lisa Hopkins, Ted Levy, Savion Glover, Jason Samuel-Smith, Barbra Duffy, Diane Walker, Ayodele Casel and so many others. She will continue her own training traveling to Chicago through out the year to study with a variety of tap masters, as she grows as a student and teacher.
