Randy has recently retired after 35 years of teaching in the public schools, the past 33 years with Marion
Community Schools. During that time he taught all levels, from 1st grade through 12th grade. He also has
been an instructor for both traditional and adult education art classes for Indiana Wesleyan University.
His specialty is Ceramics and Sculpture.
He received a Bachelors in Art Education from the University of Indianapolis, and his Masters in Art from
Ball State University.
Randy has served for 9 years on the Advisory Board for the Scholastics Art and Writing Competition, and has
had numerous gold and silver key winners awarded to his students. He had one National American Vision Award
winning student, which is perhaps the highest honor an American high school student can obtain in the visual arts.
He was twice Director of Arts and Crafts for the Russian-American Youth Camp in the city of Vladimir, Russia.
Randy has taught the past 10 years for the Community School of the Arts and he is very excited about the new
facility and the future ahead for CSA!
