For beginners to
advanced, performing to recreational. The various dance classes offered
at CSA will cover many aspects of each art, including technique, style,
concept, rhythm, musicality, & choreography. Registration does not
guarantee placement in the class. Instructors will determine proper
placement or changes based on skill level, as deemed appropriate.
Advance classes will require instructors approval. |
CSA Dance Tiers
YEAR: For the committed dancer. The anchors of our program. They will be the featured performers at the year end dance show. Through this they will get to spend time learning technique, new moves, have more time for choreography, have fun and work toward the end of the year dance show. This is standard for all dance studios.
SEMESTER: There are 2 semesters in the year. These classes are designed
& encouraged to participate in the semester ending show(s).
6 WEEKS: This is for people who are unsure whether dance is their thing. They can dabble and see if they like it. If they do like it ... then they can sign up for the next six weeks. Note: No performances will happen with this group ... It’s merely recreational. If at the end of the semester they want to pursue the dance show they are permitted to sign on for a longer commitment. 2007-08 Dance Classes: |

HIP HOP A high-energy class that uses the latest sounds in rap, R&B and pop music together with movements influenced by some of today’s hottest video choreographers. Hip hop encompasses movement that has elements of poppin', locking, and breaking as well as freestyle movement to give students the opportunity to develop their own sense of style. Hip hop is urban, it’s street, it’s diverse and forever changing. Please do not wear street shoes into class. |
